Marrage records located by Wanda Glaze from United States Census of 1880, Family Records of Smith County. Tennessee show: James Glaye (This transcriber wrote "Glaye" but it was acturlly Glaze & Kisiah Scurlock, License issued April 13, 1181 and signed by G. A. Ogle, M.g. (minister of the gospel) signed by him as 1881 with no month day written.

The Glazes and Ogles were next door neighbors and lived near the town of "Grant" in district 18 of Smith County, TN. Wanda was told that by another descendant of Glazes and great grandaughter of "July A. Glaze" (actually Julia Ann Glaze) that the Ogles were Cherokee indian.
