| A new year and a new project. It is essentially a Scottish start that has since spanned many countries. I began this search in early 2006 for my then 6 year old daughter Alexandra. It is now 2008, I am researching again and am starting from ground zero, so-to-speak. My mother's mother - my Irish grandmother, Nellie Foulis (Homley-Kelly) and Scottish grandfather John D Foulis (hence the link on my page to the Foulis Castle) gave birth to thier last child - my mother, G. Jean Baker(Foulis)(Glassford)in 1942. My father's mother - my Scottish grandmother, Edith Glassford (Fraser)and Scottish grandfather Orval Henry Glassford gave birth to their first child - my father, Carl Henry Glassford in 1937(1937-1996). My mother & father married in 1962 and in 1963, they had me and then in 1965 my sister Janice Elaine Myers (Glassford) was born. They divorced in 1982. As this research began as a legacy for my daughter, her connections will be the most thorough and include on her father John D Tatulis's side, her Dutch-Jewish grandmother Theresa Tatulis (Meier)and Greek grandfather Konstantine Peter Tatulis. John D Tatulis and I, Lorianne Lynn Glassford, brought a beautiful baby girl into the world on April 3rd 1999 - our daughter Alexandra Sitia Tatulis, and although we are not together anymore, we have a strong bond, rooted in making sure she remains the centre of our lives. My daughter Alexandra Sitia Tatulis, she began her life with a multi national past grounded in Scottish, Irish, Dutch, Jewish and Greek roots -- who knows where she or this journey of mine will take us!!. |
