William G. Glennon was born in London, Ontario, in 1859. He married Sarah (Sallie) J. Bowman about 1878, and his first son William David Glennon was born in 1879. They moved to Chicago about 1880, where John Roy Glennon was born in 1885. At various times in his life, William G. Glennon was a printer, a steward on a great lakes steamer, a railroad conductor, and a hotel owner (with his brother John). His parents came from England and Scotland, but I've been unable to find their specific origins, when they emigrated to Canada, and when and where they were married. |
