The earliest information available to date shows Edward Glenon married to Mary Murry in Kiltoom & Cam, just outside Athlone, Co. Roscommon, Republic of Ireland. Edward & Mary had several children: James b. Dec. 29, 1838, who established a farm in Taughmaconnell, Co. Roscommon; John b. Mar. 27, 1841-no further info; Mary b. Jul. 23, 1843-no further info; Hugh b. Sep 16, 1848-no further info; Patrick b. abt 1861-emigrated to Boston, MA; Ellen b. abt 1862-emigrated to Boston, MA; and Alicia b. Aug 28, 1863-no further info. James married Catherine Brooks. Their sons Thomas, Edward and John emigrated to Boston, MA, married and raised families. William, Eleanora (Hanoria),Maria (Mary), remained in Ireland. William took over the farm and had two daughters that resulted in the Collins and Nolan families. Eleanora married Thomas Gately-there were no children. Mary married Patrick Henry in America and returned to the Henry farm in Drumlosh, Co. Roscommon. |
