| My father's grandfather is as far as I have been able to go with asking questions of those still around. I have done pretty well with getting to know and documenting descendants to date from my grandfather. Now I hope to gather information on his ancesters to share with the rest of the newly acquainted family. His name was Henry Harrison WEEKS and he was born in Illinois. He married Daisy Mae Simmerman who was born in 1880 at Galva, IL and died in 1908 and is buried near Lorimor, IA. Henry and Daisy had two children-my grandfather Glen Elwood Weeks born 11-11-1899 or 1900 and his brother William Ernest Weeks born 3-11-1897 - both in Madison County, IA.. William died in 1976 in Colorado Springs, CO and I have just an obit on him. Glen died 1-28-1983 and is buried in Kooskia, ID. Glen and William were separated when their mom died and rarely saw each other. Glen eventually had 4 children born in Lorimor and then came to Idaho where 3 more children were born. I hope to locate someone from William's side and also to learn more about Henry and his ancesters. Other names of interest are HAZELBAKER, CHASE, RUSH, GILL, SIMMERMAN, MERRILL and on my husband's side are GLENN, HAMMACK, MEYERS, OGBOURN, MILLER, and JOHNSTON.Please don't hesitate to ask if you think I may be of help to one of you. |
