The Clendenin-Glendenin-Glendenning Family

I have been doing research for more than 25 years. I started working on my Maiden name and have grown to several surnames in our family line, then to my husbands family and last to his mothers maiden name, LOGAN. She ask me to find out who her GreatGrandparents were. I hate to say that she passed away before I could find out who they were, a week after she passed I recieved her Grandfathers Death Cert. which told me who his father was. I finished the family and have added to it and now I wish to share it, to help others looking for the same. As I finish or get close to finishing other families I will also post them here.
When I started I did it the Old Fashion way! Going to relatives who were willing to share their information and experiences (I was suprised at how many didn't what to talk about family or said they couldn't remember), going to Court House's, record rooms, Hospitals, sending out letters to those who might know anything asking for information, and numorous other ways which took a lot of foot work, and time. Sometimes this gets expensive and time consuming.
I got my first computer in 1992, as time went on I began finding pages on the internet which offered some help but not much. Around 1996 I started finding more information on the internet and Ancestry.com!!!! There I have found a lot of information from that time on. I use Genealogy.com also. Both of these have been a big help sence then, I am so greatful for both of these sites and the help they have been, it sure makes it easier to find family members and help others to find this find this information without the work we had to put into it! As time goes on I believe that it will be harder to recover information, as the older generations pass on, there are so many questions we think to ask when they are gone!
