Gordan Gledec, Zagreb, Croatia

Since summer 1999, I've been researching families Gledec on my father's side and Hitrec on my mother's side. Both families originate from north-west region of Croatia called Hrvatsko zagorje. Also, my paternal grandmother is from Lika area, place called Sinac, her surname was Bobinac, but this is still work to be done. This is still a work in progress, so much of the info I intend to post here is unavailable, but as soon as I get more time, I'll do it. Until then, you have my e-mail for all the questions.

Rev 1. At the end of 2000 I added a few images of my relatives from my mother's side of the family and a map of Marija Bistrica region, where my father's family comes from.

Rev 2. In June 2006 I've realised it's been 6 years since I've touched this page... Time flies! Last couple of days I've been busy searching through Zlatar parish records about the Hitrec family... Will post results soon.

  A house in Zlatar Bistrica built by Janko Hitrec, my great-great-grandfather, who moved from Zlatar to establish the Hitrec family in Zlatar Bistrica in 1870-ies. The house was built in 1882, not 1872. as the picture caption says... My error...
