The Macrae name forms the larger part of my research over the past twenty years and spans the greatest time beginning in the West Highlands of Scotland 700 years ago and wandering far and wide. Other names are just as important to me, they are Macdonald and variants, Cameron, belonging to the Highlands also. Thomson and Hobkirk begin in Central Scotland and the Borders. Riddell comes from Aberdeenshire and travels the lentgh of Britain to Wales before returning to Scotland. Partnering Riddell is the Jones family with a two hundred year history in West Wales. Included here are our ancestors with their siblings and some of the siblings descendants. The research goes on. |
