I was born Aurea Valeria Defendi and I am the first generation of my family to come to the United States. I married Joseph Sam Glorioso who is the third generation of his family to live in the U.S. I am researching both our family ancestors. The surnames I have from Italy are Defendi, DeCecco, Donati, Valade, Pupilli, and Filipponi. The surnames from Sicily are: Glorioso, Vinci, Cannella, and Caruso. From Louisiana there is also Allmo, Cannella and Vinci. Glorioso is also in Colorado.
