| The Gilmans go back to Edward Gilman in Caston, England, which is close to Hingham. They are called the Norfolk Gilmans. Edward married Rose Rysse in 1550. Can anyone can identify his forebears in a direct line to Cilmin or Gilmin Troed-Dhu in Wales circa A.D.840? It is possible to trace Cilmin of the "Black Leg" back to Coel Godeboc, King of Britain, and Duke of Colchester,A.D.300. |
