| I am researching my family in Norway, Canada and the United States. Finn GOA, was born in 1909 in Oslo, Norway. His parents were Gustav Kristian Olsen GOA and Thora Mathilde Samuelsdatter GAUSEL. He lived in Stavanger and at Gausel before emigrating to Canada in 1928. Solveig BAKKE, was born in 1915 in Løten, Norway. Her parents were Julius Johannesen BAKKE and Adeline Mikkelsdatter FURUSETH. She lived in Brumunddal with her foster/adopted family, Bernhard (Ben) Ovesen SKALMERUD and Martha Jensdatter BERG. Ben SKALMERUD emigrated from Norway in 1926. Martha, Solveig and two SKALMERUD siblings emigrated in 1927. I would welcome any information about all of my ancestors but particlularly about Adeline FURUSETH. Adeline was the daughter of Mikkel Andreassen FURUSETH (1865 - 1934) and Antonette Andersdatter BRENNA (1863 - 1912). They lived on the RUSTAD farm in Løten, Hedmark, Norway when Adeline was born in 1894 and remained there until after the 1900 Folketelling (Census). Adeline FURUSETH died in 1917. |
