| Andrews - Lashbrook - Gaod - Garton - Karp - Kohls - Mills - MayberryHello. I am on an jouney in search of family roots. While my husband and I were born and raised in Colorado, we have been part of the "moble society" of the "baby boomers". So far, in my search, I have found that our ancestors were also moble in search of new opportunites.I am in search of: ANDREWS: Samuel was in Vermont around the Revolution; His son Elkanah married Elizabeth HUTTON in Vermont and moved to Ontario, Canada. Elkanah's son, Elkanah Healy ANDREWS; who married Eliza Jane PHILLIPS; lived in Canada and immigated to Storm Lake, Iowa. Elkanah H.'s son then moved west and settled in Powderhorn, Colorado.Down the line Bird Burton LASHBROOK's daughter married an ANDREWS. I know that Bird marred Effie Jane GILL in Daviess Co. Kentucky. I have located other LASHBROOK familes in the area, but have no connection. My husband's father was born in Kansas, but I have now connections before Carl GOAD (1903-1969) who lived most of his adult life in Gunnison, Colorado. Carl GOAD married May GARTON in Kansas, they were lated divorced. My ancestors started in Prussia (present day Germany). The KARP family immigrated to New York from Antwerp, Belguim. They settled in the West Chicago. Dupage Co., Illinios area. William (Wilhelm) moved to Indianola, Nebraska, where he married for a second time to Rosa LEHN. He moved his family to Colorado in 1910.The KOHLS family moved from Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. Edward KOHLS married Emilie KASCH in Litchfield, Nebraska. The MILLS side of the family came from Iron Action, England, and settled in Eckford, Michigan. Having itchy feet Arza MILLS, traveled to Colorado. Arza married Marie MAYBERRY in Denver, Colorado. He mostly ranched or served in the military throughout his adult life. |
