2. DR. JAMES2 PRICHARD (WILLIAM1) was born May 03, 1796 in Virginia, and died September 21, 1877 in Boyd County, Kentucky. He married ELIZABETH STEWART December 05, 1818 in Kavanaugh, Kentucky, daughter of ABSOLEM STEWART and TABITHA CLAY. She was born July 26, 1802 in Giles County, Virginia, and died 1886 in Rush, Kentucky.

Notes for DR. JAMES PRICHARD:
James married Elizabeth Stewart and they settled in Kentucky at a place called Kavanaugh a few miles north of Catlettsburg, that is located at the mouth of the Big Sandy where it flows into the Ohio River. Later they moved to Boltsfork and bought a farm which most of it is still owned by their descendents.

James was at one time sheriff of Lawrence Co., Ky, and afterwards, for many years, justice of the peace of both Lawrence and Boyd counties, Kentucky. He served n the War of 1812
