I am researching the GOFORTH familys of Virgina NC & Tennessee.WILLIAM GOFORTH first appears in Tennessee in Greene County on a 1783 tax list, but I don't know where he was before that.

In addition, I'm researching the CARTER family of VA & TN.

THOMAS CARTER moved his family from VA to TN abt 1805.

Any information would be appreciated. I am also willing to share the information that I have.

We are making an effort to document "Goforth" and allied families. Allied families are "Kerr" "Reed" "Russell" "Synder"
"Carter" and "Billingsley."
