| I have reserched various branches of my family and have reached as far back as the early 19th Century. The Goff family originated in Pontefract,Yorkshire, England but ended up in Southern England via London. My paternal grandmother's family was the Chell family originating in Debyshire but migrating south to London where most of the descendents still live. My mother's family were the Simmons's who mostly came from Priddy in Somerset, England. They are a prolific family over 100 members having been named.
