1. WILLIAM1 QUINN was born 1794 in Possibly Tyrone, and died December 25, 1836. He married BRIDGET MONGAN. She was born 1791 in Caherlistrane, and died December 29, 1838 in Tuam Co. Galway.

ILLIAM QUINN:
Family history states that William Quinn was a stone mason who moved to Tuam to work on the building of the catholic cathederal. He is mentioned in Pigots Directory of 1824 as owner of Spirit Store and Public House in High Street. There is also a mention of a Nathnl. Quinn in the adjoining building who was also an owner of Spirit Store and Public House (could be one and the same i.e. jointly run).

William Quinn, as Pawnbroker inTuam is mentioned in Slaters of 1846, 1856 Galway Road. A William Quinn is also mentioned in Slaters of 1870 in High Street, 1894 High Street, In 1894 he is also mentioned as Farmer - this probably refers to his son.
