I am researching several of my families lines. These families are: ADAMS, ALMANDS, BOSTWICKS, BROWNINGS, BRUCES, CHEEKS, DENNARDS, GARRETTS, GOLOWKAS, HOLLINGSWORTHS, MAYS, PLUNKETTS, ROARKS, ROBINSONS, and THIGPENS, so far.

Below is a link to the Page ROARK family. Page was found in the 1820 US Census, Spartanburg, SC. He was living two doors down from Elizabeth KENDRICK. Page was listed as an administrator of the estate of Isham KENDRICK (abt. 1755 - 1818). Elizabeth DUNCAN was Isham's second wife. A daughter of Isham and Elizabeth is mentioned in these papers as being married to Page. In 1822, Page received monies left to his wife (her name is not given) as they were moving away. It is assumed they moved to Hall County, GA. Some early papers refer to Capt. Page ROARK. We found his daughter, Jane, who married there in 1828, at the age of 16, and in the same year her father died. It is suspected that Jane and her husband, George Latham, raised her brothers Jones and John. Jones was about 13 and John was about 6 when Page died.

Below is a link to the family of Mr. Garrett. In the 1850 US Census, Lowndes County, AL is found Caswell, Joseph, John, and Silas Garrett, brothers. Family legend has it that when Silas was about nine years of age (about 1814) his father was called to fight "Indians" at Fort Dale, AL. He never returned. There are some records that say one of the men who fought and died in this battle was James Garrett. He could be the brothers' father. WE HAVE NO REAL EVIDENCE THAT JAMES GARRETT, SON OF EDWARD AND ANN WEST OUSLEY GARRETT, IS THE FATHER OF CASWELL, JOSEPH AND SILAS. In papers at DAR, Alva Garrett Current-Garcia claims that this James was the son of Edward and Ann West Ousley Garrett of Laurens County, SC. But, in the estate papers of Ann West Ousley Garrett, none of these brothers is mentioned as sons of her James. Other children are listed. So, is James the father of Caswell, Joseph, John, and Silas? Is James a son of Edward and Ann West Ousley Garrett? These are the questions currently being worked on.
