THE KNIGHT/LETOURNEAU FAMILY PAGE

My 25 years of research includes the following surnames and locations:

KNIGHT research encompasses the SOUTHEASTERN MASS./RHODE ISLAND AREA and includes the COOKES and HOPKINS of the MAYFLOWER, SHERMAN, KEMPTON, AUTY, RICHARDSON, AND DUNBAR.

FRENCH-CANADIAN lines include the names of LETOURNEAU, JODOIN, LEMELIN and HUOT originating in the QUEBEC CITY area.

My NOVA SCOTIA roots consists of OICKLE, TOWNSEND, SEAMONE and JOLLIMORE surnames in the SHELBURNE CO. & QUEEN'S CO. area. This portion of my research is still quite sparse, but I would enjoy hearing from anyone researching these names in NOVA SCOTIA.

I would love to hear from other researchers and will gladly share information.

  • George Auty 1809 - 1863 (103 KB)
    George and his daughter Sarah, born 1843 ?Mass, who married David B. Knight are on my most wanted list. George served in the Civil War, dying in New Orleans of an "illness". The gravestone states he is from Leeds, England. They've been quite a challenge to track down. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
