Nathan Lidgett and Mary Ann Crosley imigrated to America from Lincolnshire County, England in 1850.Just prior to imigrating to America the Lidgett name was formerly spelled Liggett until Nathan Lidgett became angry with the rest of the family and the spelling of his name. Nathan left the Morman Church,he and Mary united with the RLDS Church.Nathan and Mary Ann Lidgett were the parents of nine children. George and Nathan remained in England. James died at sea. Ellen Jane, John, Francis, William, Susan, Joesph Lidgett. In 1944, Irving (Jack) Lidgett was stationed in England for two months at Kirton-Lindsey in Lincolnshire. He said there were Lidgetts living there who operated two stores but they were in London at the time and he did not get to visit them. Nathan Lidgett was still living in England in 1917 when Susan Lidgett Kemmish passed away.Her sister Francis Lidgett Judkins of Arnold NE was listed as survivor.
