* The Gow - Timbs Connection*

Updated January 22, 2007

My family history interests are TIMBS, as my paternal great-great-great grandfather, William Timbs, travelled to Australia from Ashendon, Buckinghamshire, UK in 1837.

I am also interested in a BROWN - SARD (great-great grandparents) and BROWN - WILLIAMS connection through my maternal line. My great-grandparents were Alfred Floyd BROWN who married Eleanor Margaret WILLIAMS in 1886 in Sydney NSW AUST.

Alfred Floyd Brown's parents were either Joseph or James Edmond BROWN who married Cecilia SARD. All I know about Eleanor WILLIAMS is that she was born in Dowlais Glamorgan Wales in 1867. I have not been able to find her arrival in Australia... and Williams is a very common Welsh name.

Any suggestions or lines of investigation would be happily considered.
