| I am researching the Gozzard family that stems from Halstead in Essex, England. The family were Baptists and many children were given biblical names. My own branch of the family can be traced back to Samuel Gozzard who lived in Halstead between 1793 and 1853. Other key names are: Job Gozzard (borne 1826); Elizabeth Read Scaldwell (borne 1844); Mary Ann Scaldwell (1854 - 1909); Geoffrey William Stallard (1899 - 1983); Richard William Leage (1839 - 1914). Members of the family are believed to be in the USA, South Africa, Germany and Australia |
