The inhabitants list from December 1840 for Krefeld, Germany, show Eduard
Loneke and his wife Amalia lived in house St. Anton-Str. 1442. They both were
41 years old. The profession of Eduard Loneke is given as "Seidenweber",
which is very typical profession for Krefeld: he wove silk. The grandparents
lived in the same house: Karl and Amalia (both aged 75). There were three
children: Maximilian (10), Amalia (9) and Karl August (8). The children were
protestants.
