Notes for Susannah (Pidoux): The Census return for 1 Eyre Place, 1841 shows John and Susanna Pidoux, both aged 65, living with John P. Jr. and wife Maria, both aged 40, and their younger children. Also in the house is Sarah Nuding, widow aged 55 (John's sister) and Susanna Briedley, aged 88, of independent means. One might hazard a guess that this was Susanna's mother, John's mother-in-law, and that therefore Susanna's maiden name was Briedley, BUT even so, the lady could have been married more than once.
