      31. Martha Ramsey, born Abt. 1795; died November 25, 1843 in New Scotland, Albany County, New York. She was the daughter of 62. John Ramsey and 63. Margaret Connel.

"Notes on Adeline from Pam Williams:
This is the grandmother that granddad (William Garrett Van Allen) liked. She would always give him
pie and was real nice.

Said that she was from a wealthy family and that every time she would go
home to visit (I assume to Albany, NY) she would come home with buckets
of gold coins.

Notes on Philip:
Phillip was supposedly shot through the mouth. He was said to have a
scar on the side of his face. No one knows how this came about. He was
a devoted Christian and walked to church every Sunday. It is believed
that he was Lutheran. (from Pam Williams)
