This branch of the Grigg/Gregg family tree begins in a little place in Cornwall, England known as St. Neot.
It was there that William Grigg was born in 1730. He married a girl by the name of Mary Lee who was born in 1735.
They were married in St. Neot in 1765.
Their son James was born in 1766 and married Susanna Lobb born in 1780.They were married July 9 1804 in St. Neot at the Church of England, Parish Church.
All of their children were born in St. Neot. They were
James(1805), Nicholas(1807),William(1809),Susanna(1811),John(1813),Mary(1815),Jane(1819)and Thomas(1825).
Sometime in the early 1830's the family moved from St. Neot to Lanlivery and Lanlivery Rural in Cornwall. In Lanlivery, Nicholas married Miriam Puckey in Feb 1834. Miriam either died in England or immigrated to New Brunswick, Canada with Nicholas and died there. A death record has not yet been found for her. Nicholas also had their 2 year old daughter Leah with him.
John married Mary Ann Keast on January 6 1836. They had 2 children born in Lanlivery. William Keast Grigg christened May 15 1836 died in 1838 at age 2. Their 2nd son John S. Susanna and Mary were still in St. Neot in 1871 unmarried. Susan age 60 and Mary 56.

William and Nicholas came to New Brunswick first. William married in N.B. John joined them sometime before 1844.
William and John both had land grants on Snider Mountain but William decided he liked Jordan Mountain better and settled there, building himself a 400 acre farm which at the time was one of the best in the county.
Nicholas married Deborah Alberalane Kierstead and had a grant at Anagance Ridge ( then part of Studholm Parish). Their children were David William(1849),James(1853/4),Thomas Herbert(1847),MaryAnn(1845) and Isaac(1857/8). Isaac is said to have died young. I have not yet found his grave or that of Nicholas and Deborah.
Mary Ann married William R. Sharp and had a large family.
Thomas moved to USA and married Phoebe Drum. They had 4 children.
I have found no information on either James or Leah to date.
David married Sarah McKnight who gave birth to Ezra(1880), Ira(1883),John,Harry Embro(1888). Sarah died in 1888 possibly during childbirth.
