| I am currently researching the following families:Galaway, Thornburgh, Mills, Plaisted, Greisen, McIlhenny, Linderholm, Peckham, and Shipley.Geographic areas include Fayette County, Pennsylvania; Jefferson County, Tennessee; Washington County, Oregon; York County, Nebraska; and Newport County, Rhode Island.The GALAWAY and SHIPLEY families settled in Nebraska after leaving Pennsylvania in the 1870's.The LINDERHOLM family arrived in Nebraska from Sweden in the 1880's.The THORNBURGH and MILLS families found their way from Tennessee (via Iowa)to Oregon from the 1840's to 1860's.I am particularly interested in finding out more information about Obed Thornburgh (1812-1908), Charles Shipley (1832-1889 ) and Joseph Smith Galaway (1833-1895).Please feel free to contact me by email or regular mail as I am more than willing to share information.Thanks! |
