The information you sent was very helpful and is a part of my family tree.

Jeff is the son of Henry and Mariah Godbee Utley. He has been included in
all of our reunion booklets. However, we've not had any information other
than the names of Jeff's children.

I would greatly appreciate if you could send me names and addresses of Jeff
Utley's descendents. We are planning a family reunion in Augusta, Georgia
August 11-14, 2000, at the Augusta Sheraton Hotel, and would be honored if
you and other Jeff Utley descendents could attend.

This will be our fourth official family reunion. Our reunions usually run
three to four days. We met in Augusta in 1995, in Washington, DC in 1997,
and in St. Petersburg, FL in 1999. I would love to send you a reunion
package. Please forward addresses of family members as soon as possible.

I had an opportunity to speak to Walter Jefferson Utley, Jr. by phone last
week.

Jeff Utley was my Great-Great-Great Uncle. I am the grand-daughter of
Jeff's brother Henry, Jr. My branch of the family is hugh, and we are
looking forward to meeting Jeff Utley's family. I hope some of you will be
able to come to Georgia in August.

We are planning to have our next reunion in California in 2002.

I'm sorry it took me so long to reply to your e-mail, but I have been
extremely busy.

You requested information on Jeff's parents and siblings. Jeff's father was
Henry Utley, born in the mid 1800's, I don't have the exact date with me.
November 7, 1865, he married Mariah Godbee (birthdate unknown). They had
five children, Henry, Marshall, Doxie, Jeff and Lelia. Additional
information will be in the Utley Family Reunion 2000 Booklet.

As I stated on our telephone call, I don't think you are related to the
Utley's except by Jeff and Julia's children. However, you are a Griffin and
you told me your parents are both from Waynesboro, and my cousin Eula Utley,
married Herrington Griffin and they have four children. I know there are two
sets of Griffins from Waynesboro, however you may be related to Herrington's
family. They will all be at the Reunion in Augusta. I'm sure they would be
happy to meet and talk with you.
