My Family Heritage
This family is being added out of love, respect and a few fond memories for my Daddy, OWEN DAVID GRIFFIS. It is very true that I didn't and still don't know a lot of Daddy's family but that doesn't mean they are loved any less. Without not only the good but the bad we would not be who we are today. Some good, some not so good. But the need to show love should never be forgotten. I love you daddy. I know you have to be in heaven waiting for me to get there where we will NEVER be apart again. See you and Granddaddy down by the stream. Granny I know you will be at the Gate to welcome me home.

To my sons, Tad & Owen David, thank you for listening and showing an interest in my (our) family history. And my three girls, maybe one day. Five of the best children in the world.

To all those who have helped me in my quest for infomation I offer a great big thank you, Denise(Started me on my journey), Wanda(Starling & related family source), Grady(found my daddy's grave.Griffis family source), Peska, Joann(Griffis & related family source), Joan(Copeland,Beck,Hood,Griffis, Starling,Sweat & related family source), Betty(Griffis family & related family source, JoAnn(Norman & related family Source), Shirley(Griffis & related family source), Rhoda (Fountain, Hall, Centerfeit, Sheffield), Shelia(Griffis & related family source), Tommy(Fountain,Hall,Hatcher,Williamson & related familes source), Vernie & Nel Hatcher who encouraged me put my tree online and the many more than space won't allow; thank you and may God Bless you and those who read my simple lines.

The family lines are from Mass., Virginia, South Carolina, Georgia, Lousiana, Alabama and of course Georgia and Florida. The Griffis Family is a very confusing family. I am still working on my family. Not all of this information has been verified. Some was gotten off the net. If you have any infomation to add or any corrections I should make, please contact me. Linda Jane Griffis.

My Ancestors
