Dated 26,July 1772

Deary Beloved wife Esther my whole esate during her life except she marry,then shal have but her
thirds. After her decease the land to be eqally divided betwixt my two sons Richard and Thomas.
Richadr one set of Smiths tools and one dark bay horse after my just dedts are paid. Paying his mother
ten pounds two years after this present date.

Executrix: wife Esther Hamilton.

Witnessess: George Grundy, Robert Jackson, Adam Beard.

Proven: 28,September 1772 by oath of George Grundy and Adam Beard.

Security: Adam Beard and Drury Alle.

Dated: 5 November 1772.

James Hamilton(Hambleton)was a Revolutionary War Soldier from Bedford County, Virginia. He served in the South Carolina Militia. His pension started on May 16,1833 when he was age 76. He was granted an $80.00 annual allowance, and received a tolal of $240..00.
