The Cuellar side of the Cuellar/Gross family is from South Texas. I am Jackie Cuellar Gross the daughter of Jasper Cuellar and Dorothy Ewers Cuellar. My Parental Grandmother Louisa De Leon, is the Great Granddaugher of Martin De Leon, and married Cosme Cuellar on Sept. 14, 1918 in Victoria, Texas. Martin De Leon brought settlers to Texas in 1824 and settled the town of Victoria, Texas.
My Mother's maiden name is Ewers. She was born in Chicago, Ill. on June 27, 1924 to Casper William Ewers and Lillian Anglis Eggert Ewers. Casper used his middle name William and had a brother Roy. These boys were orphaned about 1911. They were raised by their Grandfather in Harvey, Ill.

The Gross side of the Cuellar/Gross family is from Missouri. Gary Gross is the son of Emil Gayle Gross and Mary Leta McMahan. Emil's family came from Macon, MO. Emil's Grandfather was James F. Gross, a doctor in Macon, MO. Abraham Gross, Emil's Great,Great,Great Grandfather, was born in Surry N.C. in 1777, married Sarah Miller in 1807 in Cumberland Ky. and died about 1844 in Randolph County Missouri.

Gary's mother's maiden name is McMahan. She is from South MO.around the Ozark area. Her father is Archibald McMahan born June 28, 1890 in Barton County, MO, he married Allie Matilda Wolf from Taneyville, MO on Aug. 30, 1916.
