Information regarding S. D. Mathison's marriage to Lula Woodall comes from Vol. L, page 164 of the Dale County Marriage Records. On the day of their marriage, Solomon was 67 and Lula was 58.

Notes for CHRISTIAN MATHISON:
Some Mathison relatives living today remember a "Christine" Mathison from the family history, but the Henry County Alabama Marriage records list the name as "Christian." In the 1860 Census for Henry County, the name also appears to be "Christian - age 4"

Notes for EMMA MATHISON:
Information regarding Emma's marriage to A.F. Powell comes from Vol. E, page 82 of the Dale County Marriage Records. It also mentions that they were married "near John Mathison's residence."

According to the family bible of Agret Malcom Mathison, A.F. Powell and Emma Mathison were married at her mother's house in the presence of C. E. Mathison and J. L. Mathison.
