This headstone is in the New Prospect Free Will Baptist cemetery where Malcolm & Eliza Mathison are buried. It is difficult to read, but it says, "A.J. Wife of J.H. Mathison, born May 3, 1853 and died July 11, 1913." Is this the Amanda Peebles that married J.H Mathison on March 2, 1897? A photo of their marriage license can be found on this web site. Again, I have no idea how these two people fit into the Mathison family tree, but given that the wife is buried near Malcolm and Eliza, they are certainly related. Please contact me if you can help unravel this mystery.
