On this document, L.H. Mathison is shown marrying M.E. Davis on January 28, 1894. This marriage license is in the marriage books at the courthouse in Henry County. For a long time I had no idea how L.H. fit into the family tree, but I was sure there was a connection. As you can see, my gg uncle, Rev. George W. Mathison, performed the ceremony. I now know that LH was the son of George's brother, Rev. Elias Tipton Mathison. LH died in Texarkana in 1945.
