This is the headstone of my gg grandmother, Annie Jane Creel. Her marriage to J.W. Mathison, Sr. in 1867 was her third. She married E.J. Corbit on May 20, 1857 in Barbour county at the home of her father. This husband did not last long (for reasons unknown), but two years later she was at the alter with Eli S. Glover. They were married in Henry county in the home of Solomon Sikes on Jan. 11, 1859. He died in the Civil War on Feb. 16, 1865 in Elmira prison camp. She married my gg grandfather two years later. They had six children.
