I am researching the Julius Grunwald family of Milwaukee, WI. Julius Grunwald entered the US in 1860 and settled in Milwaukee. He is said to have had a brother that came over at the same time and settled in the south but this remains a mystery to be solved.
I am also researching the Frederick Griewisch family of Milwaukee. He came to the US from Mecklenburg-Schwerin in about 1853, was married in New York and settled in Milwaukee.

But this is the tip of the iceberg. Other important families include Dowdy (KY>AR), Holloway (GA>TN>AR>MO), COE (NY>MI) and the hundreds of others that make a lifelong hobby. I am new at the internet stuff so there will be revisions when I figure out what I'm doing.
