* Michael Gruber Geneology*

Michael Gruber came to America circa 1830-40 and settled in the Dubuque County, IA area. He is believed to have come from the Alsace/Lorraine area on the German border. I have a been researching the family history for several years and now have over 200 entries. Much help has come from cousins David Gruber and Mary Kruger. The struggle now has been to find more exacting information on Michael. Where exactly is he from and when did he come to America.

Any help will be appreciated and I am willing to share information.
