| Hi there! I'm Steven Gruzd, a research manager on African politics living in Johannesburg, South Africa, with my lovely wife Mandy, and delightful daughter Lauren. My family came mainly from Lithuania to South Africa in the early part of the Twentieth Century. I know of relatives all over South Africa, Australia, the USA, UK, Canada and Israel, and many other places too. I've been dabbling in genealogy for the last few years. I've been really lucky in that many wonderful and helpful relatives have done a lot of the work for many years and have given me access to their information - thank you Colin Gruzd, Errol Kristal, Peter and Carol Cullman, Audrey Axe, Marcia and Nancy Grossman, David Blue, Martha Lev-Zion and many others. The major family names I am researching are: Dad's side: GRUZD (and GRUSD) TAITZ GORDIMER (yes, I'm related to Nobel Literature Laureate Nadine) COHEN MOFSHOVITZ/MILLER Mom's side: CANE (perhaps KAHN and/or COHEN) BRAUER LURIE KAHN GOLDSMITH On my wife Mandy's side, the names are: LEVER GREVLER HI(M)MELHOCH SCHMAHMANN KAHN I try to keep the tree up to date and add new members as I hear about them.
