The GUERRY FAMILY Home PageUpdated September 5, 2000 | The Guerrys are descendents of French Huguenots which migrated to the Colonies around 1685.We landed at Charleston, SC, were granted land by the British and ultimately settled on the Santee river near the present Jamestown area. Most Guerrys presently living in the U.S.A. are probably descendent from the original pair of Pierre Guerry and Jeanne Broussard.Today, we have the names of approximately 2700 Guerrys, but very little personal information such as diaries, photos, letters, occupations, etc. My cousin Harold Guerry and Myself would appreciate copies of any of the above types of information that can be furnished. We in turn would be willing to share what information we have.Together we may be able to compile comprehensive history of our clan. Please contact me at the above EMail address and contact Harold at: [email protected] a more personal note, I am interested in the following families:Mark Moore Brown-Harriet Susanna Guerry (1780-1815) ....Theodore Guerry Jr.-Mary Elizabeth Brown (1780-1815).... Isaac W. Talkington-Mary A.T. Eshom (1820-1850).Any information regarding these families and their descendents will be greatly appreciated.I hope this will bring lots of responses. |
