GUERTIN and FORGUE - These families settled in Chicago, with stops in Kankakee, Illinois and upstate New York on the way from French Canada.


FRIEDL - The Friedl brothers, Joseph and Stanley, came to Chicago in the late 19th century from Bohemia. Little is known about their ancestors at this point.


WENDELBERGER - John "Rote Hans" came to Wisconsin from his birthplace of Zwiesel, Bavaria in 1881.


KOENIG - Herman Koenig originated in Saxony. He settled in Newburg, Wisconsin.


NEIMON - George Neimon came from Hungary to Milwaukee.


LERICH (LERCH) - The Lerichs came from Zomba, Hungary to Milwaukee in the early 1900's.
