| I am a moderate user of Family Tree Maker. My great-great-grandfather (or maybe my great-great-great-grandfather) William Guffey, came from Pennsylvania, coming down the Ohio river. He or his son eventually ended up in Owensboro KY, from which my grandfather and father were born. I am always looking for more information on any Guffeys who might be related. My mother's maiden name was Bareford. The first Barefords settled in NJ or NY. Eventually they came to Indiana, and to New Albany. My wife's maiden name was Zinke. Most of her Grandparents or their parents came from Germany. She also has ties to Shubert. |
