Richard Parker was granted 1500 acres of land in a total of three grants in Nansemond Co, VA. Later, he wa High Sheriff of that county. Richard married first Elizabeth Bailey, a dau of Captain Richard Bailey of London and Accomac Co VA. After her death he married Judith Burton, the widow of Dr William Hunt.
