Robert was the Bowbearer of the Forest of Bolland, Duchy of Lancaster and was living in 1591. On 8 Jan 1554 he married Elizabeth daughter of Edmund Chadderton. She was the sister to William Chadderton, Bishop of Chester (1579-1595).
