Betty S. Hatley of North Carolina

Researching the Hatley family name. Most of my family lived in North Carolina in Millingport or Albemarle areas. My grandfather's name was Luke and my grandmother's name was Addie. I'm not sure where my Hatley family originated but I've heard rumors over the years that they believed they came from Cambridge, England.

I'm just beginning this search and haven't accomplished very much yet, so any information or leads that anyone can send my way would be greatly appreciated. I will be very willing to share any information I have (which at this time is very little).
