FAMILYSEEKER

Updated September 5, 2000

I am currently searching for TERBORG and STEESSY. Although there may be variations of both these are the two main names for the moment. The village of TERBORG is in Holland, right on the German border, I am told. STEESSY comes from County Glariss in Switzerland, but I am unsure if it is a village name or just the family name. My great grandfather, John TERBORG is said to have immigrated to New York in 1883 and lived in the Rochester area for several years before coming to South Dakota. I do not know an exact year for immigration for my great grandfather STEESSY, or which port of entry for sure he arrived.
