The Michael R. Hacking Family Home Page

I am researching the James Hacking family line. The records available to me show that James was born in Cumberland England about 1801 and died in Preston, Lancashire, England on September 14, 1839. His wife, Jane Pearson (Hacking) remarried and emigrated to the United States on October 1849. The information after James is very good, however I have no information of any of James' family history.
I am also interested in researching my wife's family history. The earliest reliable information we have for her father's relatives is for a George W. Murray, who was born in 1868, in Franklin County, North Carolina. His father was George S. Murray Sr. of Catham County, North Carolina.
