settled in the Willamette Valley and Eugene and Mount Hood areas as homesteaders. The great grandfather was a member of the Oregon state Legislature as 'Master-at-Arms'. Their origins are mainly on the Eastern seaboard, Baltimore, Md. The Griffiths line is traced to a Will Griffiths that worked for Wells Fargo in the time around 1900 but seems to be lost. and others. The Griffiths line has been traced to W.L. and Naomi
Griffiths who were married in Hastings,Sussex, England on August
21, 1853 and took ship for America the same day. They ended up
in Topeka, Kansas in 1869.
