Family research is involved with Heseler(Haeseler), Misner, Ford, Wiggins, Griffin, Moore, Munsey and Jameson. Haeseler is our 'anglicized' name. It was anglicized sometime after 1891. Griffins are from CT and originated from Wales. Jameson, Moore and Ford originated in Scotland/northen Ireland. Munsey was from England. Wiggins family at present dates back supposedly to Middlebury, VT.Ford came to USA via Quebec as all children of Joseph Ford and Margaret Watson were baptized in St. Leonard, QC. The Jameson family settled in ME and lineage is direct to Miles Standish I. First emigrant of Griffin was Sgt. John Griffin of Simsbury/Granby, CT.

This Heseler (Haeseler)family came from Germany to New York (possibly Philadelphia) in 1891 and 1892. Settled in Stamford, CT until 1895 and then moved to Johnson City, RI. The 1892 Heselers arrived in NYC -Ellis Is.- on July 4, 1892. Carl Wilhelm Schmidt, father of Margarethe Schmidt Heseler, supposedly came to NYC in 1849-1850. Margarethe Schmidt grandparents did not leave Germany. Her maternal grandparents were Zellers and paternal grand parents were the Peter Schmidt family of Offenbach near Frankfurt am Main.
