Loomis Family of IA

I'm researching my Loomis family. I know my second great grandfather, William Loomis, was born in New York in 1804 or 1805. He moved on to Hancock Co, IL where he owned land in 1840-1851. He was married to Elvira Van Tassel who died in 1850. He married Lucinda Gearhard in December of 1850. He was father of three children, Margaret Angeline Loomis, born in 1842, and twins, William and Wilson Loomis, born in 1848.

I believe William may have had a sister named Mary Loomis. She may have moved west to IL with him. She was probably in his home after Elvira died in 1850.
