The John Hagaman- Andrea Tilton Hyde Family Tree Page

My family starts somewhere in Flatbush NY in Old New Amsterdam when Adriaen Hegeman arrived from Holland about 1651. These early Dutch immigrants moved to the Raritan, now Franklin Park, NJ then to Bucks Co. PA then to Adams Co.PA then on to Ohio and the west. I'm a mixture of Dutch blood through my father and of German blood through my mother,Virginia Gerding. There's a dash of English somewhere in there too. My wife's family is old New England. William Hyde was a founder of Hartford, CT and Norwich, CT and the family eventually married into many of the families from Old Saybrook, CT and Newburyport, MA. Other ancestors came from the Cotswold area of England through Canada. She is related to Grover Cleveland and perhaps to Eleanor of Aquitaine, Queen of England. William Stowell Tilton was a Civil War General.
