John married Mary Nagle. They had 4 children.They farmed in Logan Township, near Bornholm, in Perth County. He was a pioneer, who cleared the land and built a log home and barn. His son John 3 and his son, John 4 farmed all their lives in Logan. They are buried in St. Vincent de Paul cemetery, Mitchell.
